Some words about innovations: OOO “LUKOIL – Western Siberia”, TPP “Povhneftegaz” together with its partner Nest Lab started active application of the innovative approaches in oil field development based on combination of Big Data technologies and ultra-modern physical models at the end of 2016. We specially created multidisciplinary team of engineers to use “hybrid models” – the symbiosis of physical models (material balance, Darcy’s law, Buckley-Leverett theory) and machine learning algorithms for forming well intervention program and waterflooding optimization. We think, “Digitalization” is only fashionable mathematical cover in our days, but the most important things are physical laws placed in modelling. Finally, only production parameters can judge, and we see, how they fundamentally improved.
