In 2018 the Nest Lab team decided to shift the priority of the company from service to software development and implementation. A new commercial model required complete revision of the product, its presentation and plans of further implementation.

11 managers and specialists of PJSC NK Rosneft, PJSC Surgutneftegaz, PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Lukoil and Buzachi Operating Ltd (Kazakhstan) from Aktau, Ufa, Tyumen, Surgut, Perm and Almetyevsk have attended lectures of leading professors from Kazan Federal University, as well as the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing, and acquired practical skills in unique laboratories of the university.
Mikhail Fokin and Timur Imaev, Nest Lab (Skolkovo resident) representatives, took part in the program. They told the attendees about the problems existing during generation of development history data: growing errors at the stage of measurements and their validation and approval, as well as during history matching of hydrodynamic models.

To put it bluntly, our point of view is more of a vision of the exhibition by field developers and developers of sophisticated software (physics engines in combination with machine learning) for field development. Well, here are the main highlights:

Nest Lab has preserved a status of Skolkovo focus company for the second year in a row.

Nest Lab has given a lecture at Kazan Federal University for employees of PJSC Tatneft within the program “Enhancement of production efficiency and production system tools aimed at cost saving and oil and gas production increase in conditions of swift changes in the Industry 4.0. Experience of international companies”.

OOO “LUKOIL – Western Siberia”, TPP “Povhneftegaz” together with its partner Nest Lab started active application of the innovative approaches in oil field development based on combination of Big Data technologies and ultra-modern physical models at the end of 2016.

On 29th of November 2018 Nest Lab was invited to speak at 21st annual general meeting of plenipotentiary members of Association of independent oil and gas producing companies «AssoNeft».

On 17-18th of April 2018 Nest Lab took part at «Neftegaz-2018» – one of two biggest annual oil and gas exhibitions in Russia.

The laboratory for robotized oilfield development spoke at the round-table discussion “Intellectual data analyze” through the annual SPE Russian Petroleum Technology Conference on 16-18th of October 2017.

Nest Lab team was invited to speak at the annual conference “Exploration and Production Technologies” organized by Rosneft. The centrum of gravity for new Big Data ideas under accepted Digital Economy Program in Russia was the section named «The unity of management and data systems».

Nest Lab started new trials of Nest (Big Data software for oilfield development) in Ural-Volga region. There is a new scheme to test the robotized software comparing to previous tests in West Siberia.

21.12.2016. Tatneft rewarded Nest Lab with 1st place Diploma for best innovative technology in the field of oil production.

Nest Lab reached the final stage of Skolkovo Petroleum Challenge – annual international contest between innovation projects in oil and gas field.
